Culture Day Celebrations

Culture Day was the most uplifting and fitting celebration of our collective school community. Amongst our students and staff, a myriad of cultures and languages are represented in the most joyous way possible! The below photos provide a glimpse into our day and the cultures, heritage and fabulous clothes proudly showcased across a series of activities including our (now) legendary Culture Catwalk!
As we reflect on the success of Culture Day, let us continue to embrace and celebrate our diversity every day. Together, we have created a school environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.
Thank you to all students, staff and families for sharing aspects of your heritage that are important to you. We were joined for the day by MP for Dartford, Jim Dickson (pictured below with teacher of MFL, Mrs Cai) who was blown away by our collective enthusiasm and obvious delight in our wonderfully inclusive school community. MP Dickson wanted to explore what we do at WGSG not just in terms of curriculum, but also the personal development of students. He spent time at the Cultural Catwalk, meeting Year 7, 12 and 13 students as well as visiting a number of lessons, including a Year 7 MFL class where the students impressed with their language skills and singing!
I hope you all enjoyed an equally wonderful Easter break!
Best wishes,
